Sewer Repair
Trenchless Sewer Repair Cost in Orange County (2026)
Real pricing for pipe lining and pipe bursting on Orange County residential laterals.

We do not publish a price for trenchless sewer repair, and neither should anyone who has not seen your line. What we can do is tell you exactly what moves the number, so you can read a quote properly and tell a fair one from a guess.
The five things that set the price
Length of the run, from the house to the city main. Depth, because a line four feet down and a line ten feet down need different access pits. Which method the line actually needs; lining is not automatically cheaper than bursting. What is on top of the access points, since a pit through a driveway means restoring the driveway. And whether there is an existing cleanout to work from or one has to be cut in.
Why a phone quote is not a quote
None of the five is knowable over the phone. A number given before a camera has been down the line is either a placeholder that will change, or it is padded to cover the worst case. Both are worse for you than a proper inspection and a written figure afterwards.
Trenchless is not always the cheaper option
It is usually cheaper once restoration is counted (no trench across the lawn, no lifted driveway, no re-laid hardscape), which is why it wins on most Orange County properties, where the front yard is landscaped and the line runs under it. Where the lateral runs under bare soil and is shallow, an open cut can genuinely come out lower. We will say so when that is the case.
What should be in the quote
The method and why that method. The length being replaced or lined, and where it starts and ends. Who pulls the permit. What restoration is included and what is not. The warranty and its term, in writing. A quote missing any of those is not comparable to one that has them, and comparing two on headline price alone is how people end up paying twice.
Before you commit
Ask to see the camera footage, and ask where the fault is marked on the ground. Both should exist before any price is discussed. Ours are agreed in writing before the work starts, under California licence #1131308, classification C-36.
Two quotes are only comparable if they describe the same job
The commonest mistake is comparing a headline number against another headline number when one includes restoring a driveway and the other stops at backfill, or when one is lining a 40 foot run and the other is bursting 60 feet. Line the two documents up item by item (method, length, depth, permit, restoration, warranty), and the cheaper one frequently stops being cheaper.
